Found an obscure dictionary word for "a man who takes care of a local roadside temple", traced it etymologically to “Epitrope", a "churchwarden" parish council member who takes care of financial matters, accidentally found "Epitrope" in an open UrbanDictionary type site, the definition as “helpers of the Grand Master in a masonic lodge". It elaborated that the left Epitrope takes care of collecting the masonic membership fee, the right Epitrope for its spending.
The man who added the definition is a local Jewish businessman who is a consul of the Seychelles islands in Bulgaria. Beyond bizarre.
